The International AI Safety Report 2025 is a landmark document that underscores the importance of global cooperation in addressing the challenges posed by advanced AI. By providing a shared scientific understanding of AI risks and safety, it paves the way for more informed and effective governance of AI technologies.
Released in January 2025, this comprehensive report is the culmination of collaborative work by 100 AI experts from 33 countries and intergovernmental organizations, including the United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). We are glad that two TC 12 members also took part writing this document - Prof. Teresa Ludermir, Federal University of Pernambuco and Prof. Andre Carlos Ponce de Leon Ferreira de Carvalho.
